Welcome to our blog, we are Sara & Ale: we are Italians and we love to travel and taste. We coined the term Foodmadics to describe those who travel & taste like us.

Sara is sweet, quirky, funny and writes all the content in this blog. She is a great travel planner but also disaster-prone and a little bit of a scaredy cat sometimes. Shh, don’t tell her this last part or she’ll put on her angry face..

From the countryside in Cotswolds that seems to come out of a Jane Austen book, to the traditional English breakfast in the morning, England has changed its past bland food history and in the recent years, many places that offer great food blossomed in the country. You can now experience simple but tasty gastropubs and great restaurants alongside with the traditional afternoon teas and fish and chips or pies. If you are visiting Dorset or Cornwall, we recommend tucking in the fresh fish produce (mussels are a number 1!) at places like Rick Stein’s restaurants. Scotland Edinburgh: 10 reasons to visit and their local food

From the views from Calton Hill where the whole city of Edinburgh unfolds in front of your eyes, to the traditional Castle that seems to come out from an ancient book, Edinburgh has great charm and it is a necessary stop to understand how different Scotland is from England. Food is not the main reason to travel there but Scotland is the home of probably the best whiskies in the world (no offence, other whisky producers!). Your cravings for good food will be satisfied by local fresh fish in abundance, light greek salads and hearty moussakas – a traditional dish made of lamb meat, potatoes and aubergines.
